This is me

I may seem complicated,
but i'm not,
I surely don't ask for alot,
simply give me what you've got.

I relish in all of life's simple treasures,
they surely are life's greatest pleasures.

I take one step at a time,
this is the way I was designed.

I like to put a smile on the face,
of every creature of the human race.

I value each of God's creations,
though I sometimes lash out in frustration.

There are times when i long,
to find where it is i belong.

To be someone else,
anyone but myself.

But the Lord shows me the way,
and shows me that he cares,
He'll always be there.

I then realize; this is me,
I cannot be anyone but myself,
and He loves me for me.
