Revelation

I had a revelation today,
and i am finally walking the lord's way.
I now realize the reasons its so important to pray
and say thank you for each new day.

I was so mad because i thought you took my world,
I realize now I was just a lonely girl,
looking for all the right things, in all the wrong places.
Desperately grabbing faces, looking for traces
of love, or something like it.

I realize now you are all I need, Lord.
You are my one true friend,
who will be there with me beyond the end,
holding my hand, leading me to your promise land

There you will care for me,
and love me unconditionally.
